JPCS32 "SAKURA" Nickname
The name SAKURA means Cherry blossom in Japanese. The reason for the name is fairly obvious: the entire span of the top of this bass is inlayed with a plethora of cherry blossoms made from various types of wood and seashells. The inlay work on this guitar was meticulous and painstaking. It involved individually cutting, sanding and seating well over 90 individual pieces of shell and wood.
The JPCS32 - "SAKURA" features a double cutaway Alder body bolted to a 5 piece maple and purpleheart neck, ebony fingerboard with 24 stainles steel frets, with Mother of Pearl and abalone ovals inlays and white side dots position markers, a headstock with a "mountain ridge" inlay. Components are a set of Nordstrand Big Singles® pickups with matching wood covers on the neck position and the bridge position, controls are Vol/Blend/Treble/Mid/Bass/EQ Bypass & & Mid selector, Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ equalizer, a MR5S fixed bridge, gotoh RES-O-LITE machine heads, black hardware and includes Hardshell Case & Certificate of Authenticity
