The JPCS22 "PLUMES OF ASH" is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2022. It was crafted by the Japan Custom Shop in Nagoya to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ibanez’s US-based distributor Hoshino U.S.A. Inc.
The JPCS22 is a one-off model which was offered exclusively by select Ibanez music retailers.
The JPCS22 features a camphor burl top on an ash body bolted to a wenge and purpleheart neck with a 24-fret spalted maple fingerboard with Luminlay dot position markers and side dots. Components include a set of DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbucking pickups, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, satin gold hardware, and Gotoh machine heads. A hardshell case & certificate of authenticity are included.
- From the press release: "The JPCS22 offers an electronics package that goes one step beyond the traditional HSH configuration with a 3-way switch. On top of this already versatile setup, a coil split switch is also included, allowing for a total of six unique and distinctive sounds, all within a single instrument."
