The JPCS20 is a One-off model which is sold exclusively by select Ibanez music retailers.
With this design, the Japan Custom Shop wanted to create a contemporary, artistic take on the classic RG550, while still preserving the characteristics that make this model instantly identifiable, such as a HSH pickup configuration, top rout design with a pickguard, and a bolt-on neck joint.
The JPCS20 - "CALDERA" features ash body with figured koa top bolted to a 3pc maple/purpleheart neck, with ebony fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets with tree of life and luminlay side dots inlays. Components are a DiMarzio Air Norton™ Humbucking pickups on the neck position, a DiMarzio True VelvetSingle coil pickup in the middle position and a DiMarzio The Tone Zone on the bridge position, a Lo-Pro Edge tremolo, gold hardware, gotoh machine heads and includes hardshell case & certificate of authenticity.
