The JIVA10 is a solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in mid-2018. It is a Signature guitar of American guitarist Nita Strauss. It is produced in Indonesia.
The JIVA10 is Strauss's first signature guitar and the first signature guitar Ibanez has produced for a female artist. Strauss is known for her work with the all-female Iron Maiden tribute band The Iron Maidens and as a guitarist for Alice Cooper.
The JIVA10 is based on the S series. It features a quilted maple top with multi-binding on a mahogany body bolted to a maple and purpleheart neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with binding and "Beaten Path" EKG-style position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include an Edge Zero II double locking tremolo bridge and DiMarzio pickups with a pair of custom humbuckers (which Strauss describes as a cross between a D-Activator and an Evolution) flanking a True Velvet single-coil.
For 2019 the mahogany body was changed to nyatoh; for 2020 it was again changed, this time to African mahogany. For 2023 the neck was changed to the Wizard III, although the dimensions stayed the same.
The JIVAJR is a more affordable version which was introduced for 2020. The JIVA10L is a left-handed version.
