The JEM555L is a left-handed JEM series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1997. It is a signature model of American guitarist Steve Vai. It was produced in Korea.

The JEM555L was the first left-handed JEM model produced. It features a basswood body with a monkey grip handle and lion's claw tremolo rout bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with vine inlays up to the twelfth fret and dot position markers above that. Components include DiMarzio Evolution pickups mounted in a white pearloid pickguard with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil and a Lo TRS II double locking tremolo bridge.

The JEM555 is a right-handed version.

The JEM555L was discontinued after 2000. The next left-handed JEM offered was the limited edition JEM7VL in 2009.
