The JCS2102 is a limited edition S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2021. It was crafted in Japan by Sugi as part of the exclusive J Custom line. It was offered for sale exclusively by the Japanese retailer Ikebe Gakki.
The JCS2102 features a buckeye burl top which has had its voids filled with blue resin on an Honduras mahogany body mated to a set-in Honduras mahogany and purpleheart neck with a 22-fret stabilized spalted maple fingerboard with abalone and mother of pearl Tree of Life inlay. The headstock features a buckeye burl veneer to match the body. Components include a pair of DiMarzio humbucking pickups with an Air Norton at the neck and an Air Zone at the bridge, a Lo-pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut, Gotoh tuning machines, African mahogany rear cavity covers, and Gotoh knurled metal knobs.
