The JCS12FM is an S series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 2012. It was made in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line.
The JCS12FM features a flamed maple top on an African mahogany body mated to a set-in mahogany and bubinga Wizard neck with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with binding and offset abalone dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with a removable zero-point system tuning stabilizer, a locking nut, Gotoh locking strap pins and Gotoh tuning machines.
The headstock has a 2mm thick flamed maple top which is finished to match the body and bound. The serial number is hand-written on the back of the headstock using pure sterling silver ink. The 22 frets are a callback to the original S series models; contemporary S models all have 24 frets.
The JCS12QM is a similar model with a quilted maple top. Both models were created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the S series as an homage to the JCS1.
