The JCRG2502 is an RG series solid body electric guitar spot model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2025. It was first exhibited as an exclusive model at Ibanez Guitar Festival 2025 in Germany [1]. It was crafted in Japan by the Custom Shop as part of the high-end J Custom line.
The JCRG2502 features a neck through body construction with black limba body under a stunning exotic maple top with white resin mated to a maple and purpleheart neck with a 24-fret Ebony fingerboard with Abalone Tree of Life inlays and luminlay side dots with a headstock which matches the top. Components consist of a pair DiMarzio Fusion Edge™ Humbucking pickups at the bridge and neck positions, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo tremolo bridge, gold hardware and Gotoh tuning machines and includes a hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
The JCRG2504 is a related model with quilted maple top on honduran mahogany body and 24¾" scale length.
