The JCRG2202 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late-2022. It was crafted in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line.
The JCRG2202 features an exotic maple & red resin top on an African mahogany body bolted to a wenge and stained flamed maple neck with an ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot position markers, Luminlay side dots and 24 stainless steel frets. Components include a pair of DiMarzio pickups with Air Norton and The Tone Zone humbuckers flanking a True Velvet single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, Gotoh tuning machines and Gotoh locking strap pins.
The JCRG2202 was offered only in 2022.
