The JCRG20192 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2019. It was crafted in Japan by Sugi as a limited production model in the high-end J Custom line.
The JCRG20192 features a 4mm thick flamed maple top on an African mahogany body bolted to a wenge and purpleheart neck asymmetric Super Wizard neck with a wenge fingerboard with 24 nickel silver super jumbo frets with hemispherical fret end treatment and abalone and pearl Tree of Life vine position markers. The headstock has a matching flamed maple veneer. Components include a pair of DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbucking pickups, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, recessed Easy Access control knobs, Gotoh tuning machines and Gotoh Free-Lock II strap pins.
Three related models with an HSH pickup configuration were also offered — the JCRG20191 has spalted maple top, an ebony fretboard, and gold hardware; the JCRG20193 has a quilted maple top on a swamp ash body, a maple fretboard and gold hardware; the JCRG20194 has a poplar burl top on an alder body and black hardware.
