The JCRG2008 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2020. It was made in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line. It was sold only in China
The JCRG2008 features a horse chestnut burl and orange resin top on African mahogany body bolted to a maple and wenge neck with a 24-fret birdseye maple fingerboard with abalone position markers with luminous side dots. Components include a pair of Bare Knuckle humbucking pickups, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, gold hardware and Gotoh tuning machines.
The JCRG2008 was revealed in a live broadcast press conference on November 8th of 2020 as part of the "China-limited JCRG series". Only a single example of this model was produced although 4 other one-off models, each with different specs which were introduced concurrently: JCRG2004S (DRB), JCRG2005, JCRG2005S1 & JCRG2005S2.
