The JCRG2005S1 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2020. It was made in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line. It was sold only in China
The JCRG2005S1 features an exotic texture rosewood top on a limba body bolted to a maple and purpleheart neck with a 24-fret birdseye maple fingerboard with black position markers with luminous side dots. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, frosted gold hardware and Gotoh tuning machines.
The JCRG2005S1 was revealed in a live broadcast press conference on November 8th of 2020 as part of the "China-limited JCRG series". Only a single example of this model was produced although 4 other one-off models, each with different specs which were introduced concurrently: JCRG2004S (DRB), JCRG2005, JCRG2005S2 & JCRG2008.
