The JCRG2005 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2020. It was made in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line. It was sold only in China
The JCRG2005 features an exotic-grain rosewood top on an African mahogany body bolted to a maple and purpleheart neck, a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with special Tree of Life inlays with luminous side dots. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, and Gotoh tuning machines.
The JCRG2005 was revealed in a live broadcast press conference on November 8, 2020, as part of the "China-limited JCRG series". Only a single example of this model was produced although 4 other one-off models, each with different specs, were released concurrently: JCRG2004S (DRB), JCRG2005S1, JCRG2005S2 and JCRG2008.
