The JCRG2002 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2020. It is crafted in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line. The JCR2001 is a spot model which is sold exclusively by select Japanese music retailers.
The JCRG2002 features a 4mm thick exotic maple top on an African mahogany body bolted to a wenge and purpleheart neck with a birdseye maple fingerboard with 24 frets with hemispherical fret end treatment and mother of pearl dot position markers. The headstock has the same exotic maple veneer the top. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, recessed Easy Access control knobs, Gotoh tuning machines and Gotoh Free-Lock II strap pins.
