The JCRG1903 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2019. It was crafted in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line. The JCRG1903 is a spot model which is sold exclusively by select Japanese music retailers.
The JCRG1903 features a 4mm thick Hawaiian koa top with a black resin filled strip on a swamp ash body bolted to a maple and purpleheart neck with Velvetouch finish and a selected ebony fingerboard with 24 nickel silver frets with hemispherical fret end treatment and pearloid and abalone Tree of Life vine position markers. The headstock has the same Hawaiian koa veneer. Components include cream colored DiMarzio pickups with Air Norton and The Tone Zone humbuckers flanking a True Velvet single coil, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge, recessed Easy Access control knobs, Gotoh tuning machines and Gotoh Free-Lock II strap pins.
The JCRG1901 and JCRG1902 are related limited J Custom models also released in 2019, although those models have a slightly downsized body and shorter scale neck.
