The JCRG1601 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 2016. It was made in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line.
The JCRG1601 features a neck-through-body construction with African mahogany wings capped with a 4mm thick exotic maple top mated to a satin finished asymmetric maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with exotic maple binding and Tree of Life inlays. Components include dual DiMarzio Fusion humbucking pickups, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with a removable tuning stabilizer system, a locking nut, Gotoh locking strap pins and Gotoh tuning machines. Controls consist of a master volume, a 3-way pickup selector lever and a mini-toggle switch to coil-split the pickups.
The headstock has a 1.5mm thick exotic maple top with natural binding which is finished to match the body. The serial number is stamped both on the back of the headstock and on the fretboard past the 24th fret.
