The JCRG1505 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 2015. It was made in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line.
The JCRG1505 features a two-piece African mahogany body topped with a 4mm thick mahogany top bolted to an asymmetric maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with Tree of Life inlays. Components include DiMarzio pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with a removable tuning stabilizer system, a locking nut, Gotoh locking strap pins, and Gotoh tuning machines.
The body is finished in a wine stain with a red maroon burst-style edge design inspired by the Tree of Life fretboard inlays which incorporates some abalone inlays in the top itself. The back and sides of the body are finished in transparent black. The headstock has a 2mm mahogany top which is finished to match the body. The serial number is stamped both on the back of the headstock and on the fretboard past the 24th fret.
The JCRG1501 and JCRG1502 are related models with ash bodies in natural and sapphire finishes, respectively. The JCRG1503 is a similar model with a poplar burl top and viridian finish. The JCRG1504 is a similar model with an exotic maple top.
