The JCRG1502 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 2015. It was made in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line.
The JCRG1502 features a two-piece ash body topped with a 4mm thick ash top bolted to an asymmetric maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with Tree of Life inlays. Components include DiMarzio pickups with two humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with a removable tuning stabilizer system, a locking nut, Gotoh locking strap pins and Gotoh tuning machines.
The body is finished in a sapphire color with a spinach burst-style edge design inspired by the Tree of Life inlays which incorporates some abalone inlays in the top itself. The headstock has a 2mm thick ash top which is finished to match the body. The serial number is stamped both on the back of the headstock and on the fretboard past the 24th fret.
The JCRG1501 is a similar model with a natural finish and cream pickups. The JCRG1503 is a related model with an African mahogany body and poplar burl top with a viridian and black finish. The JCRG1504 is a related model with an African mahogany body with an exotic maple top in a light blue finish. The JCRG1505 is a related model with an African mahogany body with a mahogany top.
