The JCRG1403 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model offered by Ibanez in 2014. It was made in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line.
The JCRG1403 has a body which is 98% of the size of the normal RG and has a shorter scale 628mm (24¾") neck with a U shape and a 10" radius fretboard which is much less flat than a typical RG. It features an alder body with a claro walnut top bolted to a maple and purple heart U-shaped neck with a 24-fret quince fingerboard with mother of pearl dot position markers. Components include a pair of custom Ibanez humbucking pickups with chrome covers, a Tune O Matic fixed bridge with custom tailpiece and Gotoh tuning machines.
The serial number is hand printed on the back of the headstock.
The JCRG11M, JCRG11R, JCRG16C01, JCRG1701, JCRG1901 are other downsized RG models which all have tremolos. The JCRG1902 is a downsized model with a similar tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece.
The JCRG1403 was offered only in 2014.
