The JCRG12 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2012. It was made in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line.
The JCRG12 features neck-through-body construction with African mahogany wings topped with exotic maple mated to a maple Wizard neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset abalone dot position markers. Components include two DiMarzio humbucking pickups, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge with a removable zero-point system tuning stabilizer, a locking nut, Gotoh locking strap pins and Gotoh tuning machines.
The headstock has a 2mm thick exotic maple top which is finished to match the body. The serial number is hand-written on the back of the headstock using pure sterling silver ink. Three finishes were offered each with a different hardware color.
The JCRG12 continued to be produced through at least 2015.
