The JCRG-PROTO-02 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid-2022. It was crafted in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line.
The JCRG-PROTO-02 features a poplar burl top on an ash body bolted to a panga panga and purpleheart neck with a panga panga fingerboard with abalone and mother of pearl Tree of Life position markers. Components include a pair of DiMarzio humbucking pickups with an Air Norton at the neck and The Tone Zone at the bridge, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, Gotoh tuning machines and Gotoh Strap lock pins.
Only a single example with this spec was produced.
