The JC-QM3 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1998. It is made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale J Custom line. It was a spot model which never appeared in a catalog. It is also referred to as the JCRG-QM3.
The JC-QM3 features a mahogany body with a 4mm thick AAAA quilt maple top with abalone purfling and pearloid binding bolted to a maple neck with an ebony fingerboard with pearloid binding and offset abalone dot position markers. Components include cream colored DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
The JC-QM1 has a similar body with a thicker purfling, a reverse headstock, a middle pickup and cosmo black hardware.
The JC-QM3 was produced only in 1998 in very small quantities.
