The JC-CM1 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1998. It is made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the upscale J Custom line. It was a spot model which never appeared in a catalog.
The JC-CM1 features a mahogany body with a curly maple top with natural binding bolted to a maple neck with an ebony fingerboard with offset abalone dot position markers. Components include ivory colored DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge and Gotoh tuning machines.
The JC-QM1 is a similar model with a quilt maple top and a reverse headstock.
The JC-CM1 was produced only in 1998. It is believed that just five examples in each finish (15 units total) were produced.
