The IUKS5 is a UK series acoustic ukulele Jampack kit introduced by Ibanez in late 2011. It is made in China. The kit includes a UKS5 ukulele, a gig bag and a clip-on tuner.
The UKS5 features a soprano ukulele body constructed of laminated sapele top, back, and sides with an open pore finish. The round soundhole has no rosette. The mahogany neck joins the body at the 12th fret and has a 17-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and white dot position markers. Components include an ivory plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge, a plastic nut and Ibanez open gear tuning machines. A gig bag is included.
For 2015 the body material was changed from sapele to mahogany. For 2018 the top, back and sides were reverted to sapele, the rosewood fretboard and bridge were changed to purpleheart. For 2019 the mahogany neck was replaced with okoume.
