The IKST50th is a limited edition S series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2025. It is crafted in Japan by Sugi as part of the exclusive J Custom line. It is being offered exclusively for sale by Japanese retailer Ikebe Gakki in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the company's establishment.
The IKST50th features neck through body constuction with a quilted maple top on African mahogany wings attached to a maple, walnut, and bubinga neck with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with abalone and mother of pearl Tree of Life inlay. The neck is built with a profile based on that of the Andy Timmons signature guitar. The headstock features a quilted maple veneer to match the body. Components include DiMarzio pickups with cream and black zebra colored Air Norton (neck) and Air Zone (bridge) humbuckers flanking a cream Area 67 single-coil, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut, Gotoh tuning machines, and Gotoh knurled metal knobs.
The IKRG50th is an RG series model that was produced for the same occasion.
It is believed that production of the IKST50th is as few as six units.[1]
