The IKRG50th is a limited edition RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2025. It is crafted in Japan by Sugi as part of the exclusive J Custom line. It is being offered exclusively for sale by Japanese retailer Ikebe Gakki in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the company's establishment.
The IKRG50th features a buckeye burl and resin body bolted to a maple and purpleheart neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with abalone and mother of pearl Tree of Life inlay. The neck is built with a Super Wizard profile. The headstock features a buckeye burl veneer to match the body. Components include DiMarzio pickups with black Air Norton (neck) and Air Zone (bridge) humbuckers flanking a True Velvet single-coil, an Edge double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut, Gotoh tuning machines, and Gotoh knurled metal knobs.
The IKST50th is an S series model that was produced for the same occasion.
It is believed that production of the IKRG50th is as few as four units (two using red resin and one each with smoke and blue resin).[1]
