The IJVC50 is a Jam Pack series acoustic guitar kit introduced by Ibanez in late 2012. Outside the US market, it was referred to as the VC50NJP until 2025 when the specs of that model diverged a bit. The kit includes a VC50 guitar along with a gig bag, strap, chromatic tuner, accessory pouch and plectrums.
It was initially produced in China, but production moved to Indonesia for 2025.
The VC50 features a grand concert body constructed of a laminated spruce top on agathis sides and back. The round soundhole has a black and white decal rosette and a black pickguard. The mahogany neck joins the body at the 14th fret and has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a rosewood bridge with ivory Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut, a black pickguard, and chrome Ibanez covered tuning machines.
For 2018 the rosewood fretboard and bridge were replaced with nandu wood. For 2019 the neck was changed from mahogany to nyatoh. For 2020 the back and sides were changed to meranti. For 2021 the body width and length were very slightly increased. For 2025 the headstock logo was changed from the script font logo to the italic block font design.
The IJV50/ V50NJP is a similar model with a dreadnought body.
