The IJV50 is a Jampack series acoustic guitar kit introduced by Ibanez for 2008. Outside the US market, it was referred to as the V50NJP until 2024 when the specs of that model diverged a bit. It is made in China. It includes a V50 guitar along with a gig bag, strap, chromatic tuner, accessory pouch and plectrums.
The V50 features a dreadnought body constructed of a laminated spruce top on agathis back and sides. The round soundhole has a black and white decal rosette and a black pickguard. The mahogany neck meets the body at the 14th fret and has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a compensated Ivorex II saddle in a rosewood bridge with ivory Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, an Ivorex II nut, a black pickguard, and chrome Ibanez covered tuning machines.
For 2013 the Ivorex II nut and saddle were replaced with plastic. For 2018 the rosewood fretboard and bridge were replaced with nandu wood. For 2019 the neck was changed from mahogany to nyatoh. For 2019 the back and sides were changed to meranti. For 2021 the body width was very slightly increased.
The V50LNJP is a left-handed version. The IJVC50/ VC50NJP is a similar model with a grand concert body. The V54NJP is a similar model with a sapele body. The IJV30 is a similar ¾-sized model.
