Although it is not stated in the specs, it is presumed that the rosewood fretboard was swapped for 2018 with one made of treated New Zealand pine as with all other rosewood GIO models. For 2019 the tremolo was swapped for the T102 and the 3-way pickup selector was swapped for a 5-way.

The IJRG200 is a Jumpstart package including a GIO RG series solid body guitar. It was introduced by Ibanez in 2013.

The included guitar is described in Ibanez' marketing materials only as a "GRG series guitar", and little detail about its precise specifications is provided. It is an entry level guitar which appears to be very similar to the GRG121 except that it has a tremolo bridge and a pickguard.

This package has been solid in European markets from 2013 and in the North American (exclusive of USA) market in 2013. Along with the guitar the package includes a 10-watt amp, cable, tuner, gig bag, picks, strap, headphones and an accessory pouch. A similar kit is sold in the US market as the IJRG220Z.

The IJRG200 was discontinued after 2019.
