The IJCRG80th1 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2019. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high-end J Custom line. This is one of five distinct J Custom spot models produced to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Japanese retailer Ishibashi Music.
The IJCRG80th1 features a AAAAA grade tochu top on an African mahogany body bolted to a maple and wenge neck with a Velvetouch finish and a Macassar ebony fingerboard with pearl and abalone Tree of Life vine inlays. Components include a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, DiMarzio pickups with Air Norton and Tone Zone humbuckers flanking a True Velvet single-coil all with cream bobbins, recessed Easy Access control knobs, Gotoh locking strap buttons and Gotoh tuning machines.
The IJCRG80th5 is a similar model with a poplar burl top which is also made by FujiGen. The remaining models in the series are produced by Sugi — the IJCRG80th2 and IJCRG80th3 have buckeye burl and resin tops; and the IJCRG80th4 has a burl maple top and neck through body construction.
A certificate of authenticity is included with each guitar. Only six examples of this model are being produced.
The IJCRG80th1 was produced only in 2019.
