The IJCRG20C06 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2020. It was crafted in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line. The IJCRG20C06 is a spot model which was made in collaboration with Japanese retailer Ishibashi.
The IJCRG20C06 features neck through body construction with a buckeye burl top with blue epoxy resin filling the voids and maple binding on ash wings mated to a wenge, purpleheart and maple neck with a 24-fret cocobolo fingerboard with maple binding and abalone dot position markers. The binding continues on the headstock which has the same buckeye burl veneer and finish as the top. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of Fusion Edge humbuckers flanking a Black Velvet single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, recessed Easy Access control knobs, Gotoh tuning machines and Gotoh Free-Lock II strap pins.
The name of the finish, Ihatov, is a word coined by Japanese poet and novelist Kenji Miyazawa that refers to the utopia in the world.
Only a single example of this model was produced although 5 other one-off models, each with different specs, were released concurrently: IJCRG20C01, IJCRG20C02, IJCRG20C03, IJCRG20C04 and, IJCRG20C05.
