The IJCRG20C02 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2020. It was crafted in Japan by Sugi as part of the high-end J Custom line. The IJCRG20C02 is a spot model which was made in collaboration with Japanese retailer Ishibashi.
The IJCRG20C02 features neck through body construction with a quilted maple top with maple binding on African mahogany wings mated to a wenge, purpleheart and maple neck with a 24-fret white ebony fretboard with maple binding and pearloid and abalone Tree of Life inlays. The binding continues on the headstock which has the same quilted maple veneer and finish as the top. Components include cream colored DiMarzio pickups with Air Norton and Tone Zone humbuckers flanking a True Velvet single-coil, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge, recessed Easy Access control knobs, Gotoh tuning machines and Gotoh Free-Lock II strap pins.
Only a single example of this model was produced although 5 other one-off models, each with different specs, were released concurrently: IJCRG20C01, IJCRG20C03, IJCRG20C04, IJCRG20C05 and, IJCRG20C06.
