The ICX220DX is an ICX series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2006. The ICX series is a line of guitars with bodies similar to but more compact than the Iceman models. As an Iceman model it is part of the X series.
The ICX220DX features a smaller body with a different shape than the typical Iceman. Other differences from the typical Iceman models include the master volume and tone controls rather than the individual volume and tone controls for each pickup, a non-mahogany body without binding, no set-in neck joint and 24 frets.
The ICX220DX features a basswood body mated to a set-in maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and sharktooth inlays. Components include a fixed bridge and tailpiece and dual Ibanez Infinity humbucking pickups.
The ICX220DX replaced the ICX220. The ICX220DX was subsequently discontinued after only one year of production. It was just the third (and final) model in the ICX series following the ICX120 and ICX220.
