The ICX220 is an ICX series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2005. The ICX series is a line of guitars with bodies similar to but more compact than the Iceman models. As an Iceman model it is part of the X series.
The ICX220 features a more compact body than the typical Iceman. Other differences from the typical Iceman models include the master volume and tone controls rather than the individual volume and tone controls for each pickup, a non-mahogany body without binding, no set-in neck joint and 24 frets.
The ICX220 features a basswood body mated to a maple neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Components include a fixed bridge and tailpiece and dual Ibanez Infinity humbucking pickups.
The ICX220 replaced the ICX120 and after one year of production it was subsequently replaced by the ICX220DX which is very similar but has sharktooth fretboard inlays.
