The IC520 is an Iceman series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in late 2014 as part of the X series. It was produced in China.
The IC520 features a mahogany body with binding mated to a mahogany set-in neck with a 24-fret fingerboard with binding and parallelogram inlays. Components include a fixed bridge and tailpiece and dual DiMarzio humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls.
In mid-2017 a new fretboard material, treated New Zealand pine, replaced rosewood.[1] For 2018 the fretboard was changed to jatoba. For 2019 the mahogany body and neck were replaced with okoume.
The IC500 which this model essentially replaced is similar except it had a different neck construction, bridge and pickups. The IC520SM is a similar model with a spalted maple top.
