The IC500 is an Iceman series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2013 as part of the X series. The IC500B was released concurrently and is exactly the same guitar except for its white finish and black binding. The pair were sold in Japan along with a gig bag as the IC500GB and IC500BGB.
The IC500 & IC500B feature a mahogany body with a bound top and a mahogany and maple set-in neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlays. Components include a fixed bridge and dual DiMarzio humbucking pickups.
A seven-string model, the IC507, was also introduced in 2013.
The IC500B was discontinued after 2013 while the IC500 continued for one more year. The IC520 essentially replaced them.
