Hot Grinder & Short Tracer pickups on the S5570

The Ibanez Hot Grinder (HGD) and Short Tracer (ST) pickups are designed and produced by Ibanez.

The Hot Grinder/Short Tracer combo is usually found on the S series. Besides, the SV series also makes use of the Short Tracer, combined this time with the True Duo pickups.

Short Tracer 1

Model no.: ST1 Construction: Single coil Position: Mid Magnet: Neodymium

Description: Single coil mid pickup introduced in 2008 as a mid pickup for the S5470 and SV5470F and similar. Strong magnet provides full output in low profile setting.

Short Tracer 2

Model no.: ST2 Construction: Single coil Position: Mid Magnet: Alnico 5

Description: Single coil mid pickup introduced i 2009 as a replacement for the Short Tracer 1. Alnico magnet provides full output in low profile setting.
