HRG1 Vintage Violin (more images) |
The HRG1 (or HRG01) is an RG series solid body electric guitar introduced by Ibanez in 2003. It was made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high end J Custom line. The HRG1 was a spot model created exclusively for the Japanese retailer Ikebe Gakki.
The HRG1 features a mahogany body with a AAAA grade quilted maple top bolted to a maple and bubinga neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with flame maple binding and mother of pearl Tree of Life inlay. Components include DiMarzio pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single-coil, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The HRG1FM is a similar model with a flame maple top. The HRG3 is a similar model with abalone purfling around the perimeter of the body and headstock and gold hardware. The RG8670 is a similar regular production model with a flame maple top and violet chrome hardware.
The HRG1 was discontinued after 2004.
