The HRG1900 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1999. It is made in Japan by FujiGen as part of the high end J Custom line. The HRG1900 was a spot model created exclusively for the Japanese retailer Ikebe Gakki. It has also been referred to as the HRG1999.
The HRG1900 features a mahogany body with a 3mm thick AAA quilted maple top bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret maple fingerboard with yellow ivory binding and offset abalone dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarziohumbucking pickups, a Lo-Pro Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines.
The HRG1900 was among the first models produced by Ibanez with the five piece maple and walnut neck that would later become ubiquitous on Prestige and J Custom guitars.
