The G series is a line of classical acoustic guitar models produced for Hoshino Gakki and sold under the Ibanez brand. It was also referred to at some points as the G-Elite or G Elite series.
The initial models in the series were produced in Japan. This initial run consisted of just two models which were produced for only two years before being discontinued. The G series moniker reappered in the 2000s with models which were this time produced in China. These later guitars included some models with cutaway bodies as well as seven and even eight string models.
The series was discontinued in 2017.
