The GX90 is a Masa series acoustic-electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1999. It was produced in South Korea.
The GX90 features an original dreadnought GX body constructed of solid spruce top with multi-ply binding on mahogany sides and back with a high gloss finish. The round shape soundhole has a black and white purfling rosette. It has a mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dots. Components include an Ivorex II compensated saddle in a rosewood bridge, an Ivorex II nut, a special black pickguard design and gold die-cast tuning machines with black buttons.
Electronics consist of an Ibanez AP1 magnetic pickup (with removable anti-feedback sponge muffler) connected to an Ibanez AEQ3M 3-band EQ preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery.
