The GWB20th is a five string solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in 2019. It is a limited edition signature model for American jazz fusion bassist Gary Willis which celebrates 20 years since the introduction of Willis' first signature Ibanez. It was made in Indonesia.
The GWB20th features an ash top on an SR series double-cutaway basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a fretless ebony fingerboard with offset white dot position markers. Components include an Aguilar passive soapbar bass pickup with an Aguilar preamp with a two-band EQ, a standard bridge with 16.5mm string spacing, a removable finger rest/ramp, a plastic nut and Gotoh tuners with custom Sure Grip buttons. Special anniversary features include a reproduction of Willis' signature on the headstock and a 20th anniversary logo on the back plate.
The GWB35 is a related regular production model without the ash top and with different pickups and electronics.
