The GWB1005 is a five string solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in 2006. It is a signature model for American jazz fusion bassist Gary Willis. It is made in Japan by FujiGen.
The GWB1005 features an SR series double-cutaway swamp ash body bolted to a maple neck with a fretless ebony fingerboard with offset white dot position markers. Components include a custom Bartolini passive soapbar bass pickup with a Bartolini preamp with a two-band EQ, a standard bridge with 16.5mm string spacing, a removable finger rest/ramp, a plastic nut and Gotoh tuners with custom Sure Grip buttons.
The GWB105 and GWB205 are more affordable versions of this bass which are made in Indonesia.
