The GVB1006 is a six string solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2010. It is a signature model for American jazz bassist Gerald Veasley. It is made in Japan by FujiGen.
The GVB1006 features an SR series double-cutaway alder body with a figured maple top bolted to a maple and wenge neck with a 24 fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone oval position markers. Components include a pair of Bartolini passive soapbar bass pickups with an Aguilar preamp, a Mono Rail IV bridge with 14mm string spacing, a Graph Tech nut and Gotoh tuners.
The GVB36 is a more affordable version of this bass which is made in Indonesia.
