The GTR70 is a TR series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1998. It was produced in Indonesia as part of the entry level GIO line.

The GTR70 features a double-cutaway agathis body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and white side dots. Components include a Powersound precision pickup at the neck and a Powersound jazz pickup on the bridge, a standard 4 string fixed bridge with 19mm string spacing and a passive EQ , plastic nut, black pickguard, and chrome hardware.

The GTR75 is a five string version.

The GTR70 was only offered in 1998.
