The GTR50 is a TR series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1998. It was produced in Indonesia as part of the entry level GIO line.

The GTR50 features a double-cutaway agathis body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot position markers and white side dots. Components include a Powersound precision pickup at the neck, a standard 4 string fixed bridge with 19mm string spacing and an active 2 Band-EQ , plastic nut, black pickguard, and chrome hardware.

The GTR50L is a similar left-handed version. The GTR70 and GTR75 are related four and five string model with a P/J configuration.

The GTR50 was only offered in 1998.
