The GSRM20M is a short scale Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2012 as part of the entry level GIO line. It was produced in both China and Indonesia with minor differences enumerated below.
The GSRM20M features a double-cutaway basswood body bolted to a 28.6" scale maple neck with a 22-fret maple fingerboard with black dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Standard pickups with a jazz pickup at the bridge and a precision pickup at the neck, a B10 bridge with 19mm string spacing, a plastic nut and Ibanez tuning machines.
The GSRM20 is a similar model offered in other markets. The GSRM20B is a similar model with black hardware. The GSRM20N is a similar model with poplar body. The GSRM20L is a left-handed version. The GSRM30 is a related model with a pair of jazz pickups.
For 2013 the body was changed to agathis and the pickups was changed to PSDN P/J.
