The GSRM20B is a short scale Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in 2015. It was made in both China and Indonesia as part of the entry level GIO; Indonesian production ended in 2022. Differences exist between the Chinese and Indonesian models as enumerated below; the variants are sold in different markets.

The GSRM20B features a double-cutaway mahogany body bolted to a 28.6" scale maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez Powersound pickups with a jazz pickup at the bridge and a precision pickup at the neck, a B10 bridge with 19mm string spacing, a plastic nut and Ibanez tuning machines.

For 2017 the Powersound pickups were replaced with Dynamix. For 2018 the rosewood fingerboard was replaced with treated New Zealand pine or Jatoba, depending on the market. For 2019 the body material was changed to okoume. For 2020 the fretboard material was again changed, this time to purpleheart.

The GSRM20 is a similar model with chrome hardware.
