The GSR250 is a Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in mid-2012. It was made in China as part of the entry level GIO line.
The GSR250 features a double-cutaway poplar body bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers. Components include a pair of Ibanez JBH4 "Standard" passive pickups feeding an Ibanez EQB-IIID preamp with a three-band EQ, an Accu-Cast B10 bridge with 19mm string spacing, a plastic nut and Ibanez tuning machines.
The GSR255 and GSR256 are five and six string versions. The GSR250M is a similar model with a maple fretboard. The SR250 is a related model in the Standard line.
The GSR250 was discontinued after 2015 and replaced for 2016 with the GSR250B which is a similar model with black hardware.
