The GSR205EX is a five string Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez in 2010. It was produced in China as part of the entry level GIO line.

The GSR205EX features a double-cutaway basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers and a black headstock. Components include a pair of Ibanez PPD5 pickups channeled through an active Phat EQ, a B15 bridge with 16.5mm string spacing, a plastic nut, Ibanez tuning machines and black hardware.

The GSR200EX is a similar four string version.

The GSR205EX was discontinued after 2012.
